hey guys i looken at buying a vq stato hopfully by the end of this year and i have been looking around and they all seem to have fairly high km on them all over 200,000 so i was wondering how much power they have left in them??.. will they do burnouts??... and also is it worth gettin a lpg dual fuel conversion?? if it is on dual fuel can it do burnouts i heard that it makes cars loose its power??? and also how much would i be looking at for gearbox reco or a shift kit and how much to change the diff gears if any has the answer to these question it would be greatly appreiacted![]()
well firstly, why do you wanna go buy such a nice car just to thrash about and do burnouts in, just a waste. i think it cost my brother around $2500 to get his vq stage 2 shift kitted...
well my VP has cracked the 300 000 mark and is still going strong.
yeh, i think he talkin bout the 5 litres cos all the series 1 vq's only came out in the v8, the option of the v6 came out in the series 2. the 3.8's last forever, but i hear that alot of people rebuild the 5 litres at around the 200-250k mark. dont know why but
yeh sorry i forgot to mention i was lookin at 5lt
and i since my uncle bought a vq stato wen i was a lil youngen i have always liked them and now the price for them is comming down and they are more rarer than the average and most likely in better condition than the vn/vp commodore
Treat each car u look at individually.
Ks aren't everything.
