I had this annoying squeak on the driver's side front suspension, but fixed it by spraying tons of fish oil up there. But I'm curious... what could be causing this squeak, and does anyone else with a VN, VP, or other commodore have this problem too? The bloody thing was sqeaking even when I got in and outta the car, lol, and over every speedbump, gutter, ect!
i hav an annoyin squeak from the front drivers side aswell. only hear it when drivin around 10 - 50 km
very annoyin.. i think its my rotors bindin tho

im fairly confident it would be a ball joint or strut top bearing, most likely a ball joint

Na, check out the top and bottom bushes on the links that go from strut to sway bar, cost $20.00 for a new pair, did mine last week and what a difference.

the ball joint is at the bottom of the strut tower assembly, and fits into the suspenion arm
they are a bitch to replace, and its probably easier to pay a mechanic to do it, its a common worn out item
yeah i got the sae squeak from the top of my drivers side suspension, every time it bounces up and down, but yeah i think it could be the top strut bearing or something
Had my ball joints replaced already, noise only went away when I sprayed fish oil up the top of the shockie, must be top strut bearing or something.![]()
