Hi guys not being a Holden buff all my life, converted ford fan! I was wondering up to what model commodore wheel would fit my desperately needing VN, horrifically sad set of factory steel rims with busted genuine caps. I’ve been looking for a cheap set of second hand ones through the trading post etc but I’m not sure how far a set of wheels go that will still fit a standard VN. Help my poor poor car! as she complains every day about her ugly shoes.
personally i think the newer model commodore mags look out of place of older commodore models (as they were made to suit the new model shape, features etc.) and also VN's with late commodore mags is becoming very common...personally i'd stay away from them and stick out...
but if your after a set of holden wheels for your VN i would say a set of 17inch VY SS would look pretty nice...so would a set of 17inch VX SS rims...
you can buy these off ebay, MAYBE find a set in the wreckers or pick up a set in the trading post..good luck finding a good set of second hand ones
you should also take a look at other brand such as ROH, Advanti etc. and see if ya like any of their range....
hope that helps
just go to bob jane t marts and get a nice set of rims mate, they are like 600$ for a set of chrome rims.

to answer your actual question, anything all the way up to the current VZ rims will fit on ur VN. All commodore wheels are interchangable.
Oh ok cool thanks for that, as i said converted ford fan the dish changed from au up so i wasn't sure if this was the same with holdensis all a learning curve.
Ignoring the 4 cyl. VC, all Commodores have the same stud pattern but some have different offsets - most will be 43mm positive. VP IRS and VQ (early Commodore based Statesman) have rim offsets of 31P for alloys (and 26P for steel). I am unsure of any variations in centre hole sizes.
Have a look in the for sale section, rims and tyres always turn up in there, and the seller will generally put a photo up of the rims on a car for you to see
VX SS rims are cheap, pick up a set with tyres for 500ish, VT SS too, even VP SS rims would be hella cheap, but they're an acquired taste... i like em :dodgy:
