    Default vnv8 throttle body

looking at getting a vn v8 throttle body of airstrike, my question is, will my current breather pipe bolt onto the throttle body, or will i need to purchase a new breather pipe (the big black pipe) and if i do need to purchase a new breather pipe will i need to get a new airbox, as i have got a cold air induction kit on the old duck, i dont wanna have to remove the duct

    cheers

hmm, i dont think you would need to...the 3" intake pipe should fit onto the throttle body, as the t/b is not bigger than 3".
but it might be worth while getting a larger better flowing intake pipe anyway to make full use of the larger t/b.

that big black pipe has a diameter of 72mm, its more than adequote, for a v8 throttle body.

The V6 doesnt breath enough air to max out the stock one, just make sure it's opening all the way at full throttle and the jobs done

i picked up a stock vn v8 commodore TB from a dude that wrecks commo's for 50 bucks. youd find em at alot of wreckers for no more than 80-90 bucks so make sure you dont get jibbed.
the actual throttle body's are exactly the same from v6 to v8 except the butterfly if 65mm on the v8 compared to 60 on the v6, so it just bolts on and looks exactly the same. what you should do is get your hands onto a die grinder with a polishing wheel and clean it up.
just for the record, these are great for that snappy feeling off the line
hope that helps, oh and also take care with the gaskets
