Default exhaust pipe looks like a water sprinkler under revs???????

started my car 2day after about a week of sitting to let it warm up and noticed when i rev it a little white smoke and water r coming out the exhaust pipe, the more revs the more smoke and water, with about half throttle its shooting alot of water about 2-3 metres, and the smoke is thick as. I let it run for about 20 mins thinking it might be condensation but there was no change. does anyone know what the problem could be. the oil and water seem fine (good colour and none lost), i did notice a while ago that when the weather was cold there was a steamy kind of misty smoke coming out the exhaust, the water coming out of the exhaust seems to have a blackness mix in with it but it doesn't seem oily

Nothing to worry about it is quite common on vehicles that have been sitting for quite some time and is only the water vapour that is trapped in the exhaust mufflers boiling off and coming out as white condensation and water vapour. Nothing to worry about.

go for a 10 klm drive and get everything up to running tempt..... at idle you most likely will still see some water ( condensation) especially if the weather is cool or cold..... this means that your engine is in top tune as far fuel settings.... wish my VX did this... my son's VN was like this all the time... he had 2.5 inch sports exhaust and mod chip also....

the black stuff coming out is usually the soot in the exhaust which is primarilly due to marvels of science and the creation of un;leaded fuel this is nothu=ing to worry about all cars ahve this some not as noticible as others due to lower condensation levels any way the time it takes for this white smoke to clear is nore of a worry if it doesn't go away take the cap off the radiator and check for bubbles as you may have done a head or head gasket these can just happen over night strangly enopugh

That sounds like myn a little, Just keep a eye on your water and oil levels,
If it's running great don't worry just keep a eye on it.
I got a pic here of what comes out the back of myn after cold starts.
If i had daylight i could have shown you the gate behind the car.
With myn it seems darker but not oil just dirty water, But once warm it wont do it, But can leave very small spots on the rear of the car. Do you have them at all?. But my cars runs hard and strong doesn't miss beat oil is always perfect water pretty much the same no leaks anywhere so i go on as normal but keep a eye on everything a little more then normal just encase. abit of condinsation in a dirty exhaust and old cat convertor could cause it maybe?.

I seen a brand new SV6 spitting out some water from the exhaust.

Thanks everyone, all the water has stopped coming out the exhaust. but there is still a bit of brownish coloured smoke coming from the exhaust pipe when i give it a quick rev. The water pressure in the radiator hoses seem to build up alot quicker than it used to.

    Thanks Matt

They all pretty much give out a bit of a spray of smoke under power, It's like a trade mark for the Buick V6 it's a sign of power.
