    Default vp miss firing

ok my vp wags has been doing it for a while now, its got a dirty great miss fire on idol. Im not sure about when its going though cause its to loud to tell.. Anyways its got new plugs an d leads, and i ran a diagnostics on it yesterday and it come up code 12 - everything ok. So what could my problem be. Its really starting to shit me and i want it fixed.

when you ran diagnositc, it displays each code 3 times, eg. 12,12,12,31,31,31 etc, try cleaning your throttle body maybe? how about your air filter?

fitzy i think you may be onto something there, money is that yoru motor is about to go bang, all code 12 is telling you is that all the sensors are working fine, i wouldnt be suprised if you are starting to show the signs of a blown head gasket or some internal dammage i.e. hydrolic lifter starting to not lift right anymore, or something like that, best bet would be to take it to a mechanic champ,

yeah my mate is a mechanic he recons that its not a lifter... It all of a suddon started doing it wheilst i didnt have my licence before christmas. Has been doing it ever since. Gets worse sometimes, Then sometimes it gets better. It doesnt really blow smoke but more sorta blows solid fuel.

i think it may be your coil pack, the coil packs in the VP's arn't that great, and tend to play up after a while (8+ years), If its the original then chances are it is your coil pack. With a 70mm TB and K&N pod i doubt your having air probs. so have a mechanic or auto elec. have a look at it for ya.
I strongly doubt its your fuel pump, coz the engine will tend to cut out rather than 'miss', or not start at all.
Please PM me if you know of any L67's complete with loom and ECU are for sale
