    Default engine rattle really bad

hey guys, mate mates vn has al ittle problem, it eems to rattle bad mostly wen in gear, (auto) but its clearly coming from the front, he told me bout 10 mins ago that he looked at the large front wheel at the front of enigne (id say he ment the crank shaft bito n the pulley system) but anyway he said it looked really ruff and fractured or something.... now if thats the problem he recently had the rear end seal changed by a mechanic and the car was fine befopre that, would i be right in thinking that they have ****ed up and its loose and rattling???

also if that is what has happened should they fix it for free for him??

that wheel thing a the front of the crankshaft that drives the belt is called HARMONIC BALANCER.... and yes they do crack and rattle.... better get it checked or he'll be driving and then the car will just stop and wont start.... this wheel also triggers the ignition spark...

They break on every VN sooner or later, the rubber falls out of them, bashes stuff, then they wobble around and the belt gets broken, smashes against your bonnet and all the felt goes everywhere :P. It's all good fun
