Im in the process of treating my rust.now i cant find the colour to match as the car had been resprayed and the guy just made the colour (white) up.The closest i can find is alpine white but it is a bit too white.is it possible to instead of masking the touch up area....to overspray the paint over the rust and primer directly onto the existing paintjob without preping it.this would make the rectangle area less noticable.
hmm maye its alaskan white?
sounds liek a perfect excuse for a respray.
nah, just take it to a panel beater or spraypainter and get them to colour match it and mix up some paint for you.
or, yes, you could just spray a larger area, but it still might stand out being a different colour.
i think alaskan was too beige....the car looks white until it is parked next to a true white car i cant really afford a respray at the moment either but that does sound good i dont know how bad the rust is i just touching up what i can see
yeh, just do a drive by on some of your local resprayers and such, just ask what theyd do for a little bit, 100ml maybe. as its only touchups.
