Smile What Exhaust system should i get

I have a holden commodore vn 3.8l v6, and i wanted to get a realy tuff sounding exhaust. i am thinking about a set of pacemaker extractors going into a 2.5" lukey exhaust. What would be the best system and how much?

You can get good cat back exhausts for $250 from a few exhaust places here in Adelaide, but if you want Pacemaker extractors ($600) then you should go all the way. A decent exhaust place will do pacemaker extractors and 2.5 inch exhaust for $900 including a tip, maybe even $800 depending on where you go. A 2.5" system wuld be best for a 3.8 litre but if you're willing to spend some extra money for a good deep sound then you can get a good centre expansion Lukey Muffler for around $160 and a matching Lukey Resonator to stop droning for about another $70 and then shove the tip on the end of that.

Don't waste your money on a hi flow cat. They're like $250 or $300. A normal cat is fine for exhaust systems up to 2.5 inch as thats how big the inlet and outlets are.

Just gut your stock cat converter. After 7 or 8 years they hardly work anyway, not to legal standards anyway, so you have nothing to lose.

Go the headers Hi-flo cat Cat back exhaust, But trust me if i could get the sound of my car on here to show you what something as small as this does(In the pick) You would be shocked. Now i personally don't like the look of it and done my very best to have it hidden as much as i could, But i have a full stock Exhaust system with this little beauty on the rear, And it make a beautiful sweet sound out the back and inside. Best thing is when on the highways it doesn't rattle your brain it's just like a stock exhaust.
    It's very small.
