Does anybody know if the VY indicators fit on a VP? Thanks.

They will fit just fine in the boot, back seat or even the passenger front floor. As to fitting them to the body work, probably not without major modifications. Probably easier if you just bought a VY to fit around them

I would assume even more modifications would be in order to fit them to the boot, back seat etc.. seeing as VT indicators fit in the standard VP indicator slot and the VY indicators don't seem to be too much different from the outside I thought it might be worth my while to see if anybody has actually tried. Thanks for your reply all the same, hopefully there is someone who has already tried this or managed to get a look at the back of the VY indicators.

EDIT: Just so there is no confusion I am talking about the small side indicators

Nah - just open the boot, chuck them in and then close the boot. done!

hehehe sorry - the side indicators didn't even cross my mind. If VT fits a VP then the VY will be the same.

They are different. They can Fit with minor modifications, just go to a holden crach repair shop and ask to have a look at a smashed VY, and take measurements of what dimensions you'll need.

Yeh, we modified a pair of VT ones to fit a mates hilux so as long as they are somewhat workable it should be fine, I just wanted to see if anyone had actually tried it since I couldn't get my hands on some. Thanks for the replies.

    I was thinking that myself.
I have Monaro Side indicators on my VP. I think Vy's would go on easy.
If that's what he was after

Well I can confirm that vt side indicators definately fit into a vr, but I have never seen a pair of vy ones out of the car, shurley it cant be that involved.

And yes every man and his dog upgrades to the VT indicators, I was just after a pair of VY ones to be different, but I can't get my hands on any without actually buying some. So far i've heard "they won't fit at all" and "they will fit with some modifications", hopefully the latter is true.

I know a few people who've put WK indicators in theirs, for that extra touch. (long square ones for those not paying attention)

If the plug is the same at the back, And the hole isn't over big they should fit like all models.
You could be real different and stick the VZ SS flutes in there.

no, they had a plastic bracket thing that fits into the hole in the guard. VY changed after the VQ/P went all the way to VX.

the black you see is just a rubbed seal. As far as i'm aware, the plugs are the same across the board.
