    Default Calais VN V6 stppping

    G'day.
My parents V6 calais stops and will not start for some time.
When it stops, it is at low speed usually in an intersection.
They are bad at explaining things so i have no idea if theres some special way they can start it. It appears to be a random time afterwards when the car decides it wants to be started.
They beleive that they can start it quicker by keeping the accelerator flat to the floor and turning it over.
Mechanics have no idea. They have replaced the fuel pump and the crank angle sensor to no avail.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks

have you or the mechanics done a diagnostics test?

Dont know what the cas is. But water was poured over something when it stopped by directions of the mechanics and it didnt fix the problem. Not sure about the diagnostics.

try the inlet manifold gasket see if it is leaking air try also the iac idle air controll its located next to you tps (throttle positioning sensor)
what happens the engine is sucking air through if there is leaks the its giving the map sensor wrong readings therefor the computer is giving wrong air fuel mixtures and then the iac is giving stuffed up revs and when you turn corners and take your foot off it dies on you check the vac lines

yeh check the coil pack and dfi module, even the wire loom that goes into it cause sometimes they are loose and broken. and "cas" is the Crank Angle Sensor
THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT
