wrecking VL COMMODORE 5 speed
FOR SALE : supra 5 speed box suite holden v8 $800
will it have much of an effect or is there no point doing it
The 'custom' one would probably work okay, but there's something about cutting a 4" hole into my car that just doesn't seem right.
That and in some states it's defectable.
Gravity is proof that nature keeps getting us down.
I did it to my old VL commodore but the only reason i did it, was because they dont make CAI for VL's. I did a similar setup on my VN, without drilling through the metal, but the biggest problem is it fills your air box with crap. You pick up lots of dust and all sorts of rubbish/leaves as well. I then put a CAI on my VN and it works just as well and doesnt fill my air box with rubbish.
Use the VS S/C CAI.... it's only $50 and will do the job PROPERLY.
There is no need to go hacking up your car...

yea i am using the vs s/c cai but was just wondering if it was worth having both, cheers fo the info so far
i did run both on my vn for a very short period, then removed the piping and left it to the VS S/C CAI and it made no noticable difference. I didnt keep both because i got sick of cleaning my air filter.
