Hi,
Does anyone out there know how to completly swap a VP level 2 instrument cluster for a VP level 3 one??
I need to know EVERYTHING so I dont stuff it up. (ie cook the computer somehow)
Or should I just take it to an auto sparky??![]()
Any help would be greatly appreciated

i was told in berlina's u can just swap them ova but in the exec u need to split wires?
is this true?

I know how to pull it all out, I just want to know is it as simple as unplugging the old one & plugging in the new one?

just a question is that digram for a vn or vp?? im busy looking into doing the conversion shortly but have noticed wiring differences with the vn/vp as even the switches are different between the two
Sounds like a hassle for a 13 year old car.
In short, get a level 2, it will drop straight in. The level 3 just has trip computers and all that wank.
should be the same for a VN or VP

is there anyone here u know with a vp that has done this cause the more i look into it the more mods r needed i just picked up a set of vp calais switches and dont think they will work without the bcm looks like the vp needs the switches to be custom wired up with parts of a vn/p switch but im now determined to get it done also ill know in the next few weeks when i pull my dash out
i have now done my switches they are def not all the same and wire locations are different but into vp's not as easy todo this conversion as the vn's i think takes abit of customising with the wiring maybe there is a few different types of looms in vp's not sure but ill let you guys know on my progress
Body control modules are found on Vn's as well, but they are not needed to get your level 3 dash up and running. It just means that you will miss out on some features. Even in the VN's they are not all the same, I know cause I have done a full mod and have tested many a dash, from VN to VR. Same model dash upgrades are the way to go, as they require less changing of pin assignments, but their is always a bit of work, but really should not take longer than one days work. A simple look at your wiring diagram for relation and their is nothing more to it.
As I have stated, people are wrong, the wiring is not the same at all from VN to VP, but the principles are the same, and you dont need a BCM to install your level 3 cluster.
what features would you miss out on
