i just got an ss bumper lip and i was just wondering what the best way to paint it is? its made of rubber, so it can change shape. i used touchup paint from autobarn for painting the side skirts, but they are a different material.

i sprayed my ss spoiler with touch up spray and its made from rubber. give it a good sand back first though, because its made from rubber, it will have cracks in it from over the years. i sprayed over it with the spray putty stuff to fill in the cracks and then sprayed it with the touch up paint. came up good, and i sprayed the rest of the bumper to match it in nicely...
did you use any primer?

you can get plastic primer. That what i use when spraying plastic or rubber
nah didnt spray any primer on it. i was supposed to spray the primer on it before i sprayed the putty, thats what the can said. but the paint hasnt flaked or peeled off yet so i might be lucky
