    Default Vn Dash Clusters

I have currently got a level 1 dash cluster in my VN wagon, i want to install a level 2 or enen a level 3 cluster like in the image atached.
    How hard is this conversion?
Does the whole lot just plug staright in? is the wiring there to support the trip computer and tacho? (keeping in mind i have an executive)
Also what about latter commodores dashes? ie:VR-VS

    Any help would be appreacted

PS thanks for the pic Hozy

Search for it, it's been covered here many times.

In short, L1 and L2 will interchange quite happily, L3 requires one more wire to be run from ECU to dash.

    *edit*
If you drop a VR dash into a VN all you will do is start a fire. They are wired up differently. If you've got a VN, only use VN clusters, just to be safe.

any level 2 dash will do from vn-vs if u use ur flexi circuit & modify it so that the bolts will go through the hole which is just a matter of punching out the holes & bearing the circuit. I bought a cluster from the wreckers was told if would be fine, put it in & it went up in smoke. Modified my Level 1 flexi circuit & the Level 2 worked fine.

do a search its all there been covered a hundred times.

Level three will go straight in without a loom, its just that the bottom part wont work unless you get a new loom. The loom has to be from a car that had a Level 3 dash standard Eg Stato, Calais, Sum Berlinas, HSV etc

Oh yer and unless you want to toss around alot with the circuitry, then just stick to VN-VP for VNs and VPs and VR-VS for VRs and VSs.

Oh yer and if anyone is interested, Ive got a VS Level 2 dash for sale, its only got 60 odd k kms so yer give us a PM if you are interested.
