Hell, stuff the looks, 235's, decent swaybars, maybe a little lowering job and you've got yourself an all round rice destroyer. Only problem is that ride quality on shite roads will suffer, but the cornering ability is worth it I reckon. 17's? I say go for it, only reason I'm still on 15's is because worthless scumbags seem to enjoy stealing for free the things that I have worked hard for.

Pandaman, Why not use lock nuts if you're worried about your rims being stolen?

Go for the internationals man. They look nice on any commodore. If you can get em for a decent price go for it.

Had locknuts on my TSW hockenheims on my old car. They took the whole vehice and took their time stripping it of anything shiny (two days, very thorough people), very considerately put four 15 inch steelies on it (one of them being my own spare) and dumped it in Red Hill with the XR6 headlights, stereo and everything chrome removed. Which being an old falcon meant that it wasn't going anywhere under it's own power without being defected by the cops who found it. Don't let this put you off taking pride in your vehicle's appearance though, karma will catch up with the little bastards, hopefully by way of myself with a blunt weapon (knives would be too quick to be enjoyable ya see).

On a more fun note, 17*8's with decent tyres and damn, the grip is incredible. The old XE wag's was unphasable, a highly chuckable vehicle, the thought of a decently set up VN with the same level of grip is damn near giving me wood.

yer i find that alot of people put them on terrible looking cars, nothing worse.. if u drive any statesman or caprice they look awsome, the only other thing they look good on is a calais model vn/vp. i rekn theyd look mint on my car, theyd give it ao much of a smoother look.. but ive only ever seen my rims on 3 other cars and everyone says they look awsome so mayb i should shuttup!
