    Default Sticky Tacho

My sons Vp has a tacho that is ok on the way up , but then sticks ,a bang on the top of dash makes it return. All other gauges work ok,could this be the same problem as the other sticky gauges.{ dry joint at regulator}?

take it to a speedo specilist, they'll probbly charge u $10 to fix it...

ive learnt from experiance its not a good idea to try and fix something like that yourself, its far too easy to set the speedo calibration off.. and before u know it u get clocked going 75k's in a 60 zone and u thought everyone else was just driving slow....

there is a good one near me, its in victoria in ringwood if your anywhere near the area, its called Ringwood Speedo's
pm me if u want the number but yeah... getting it fixed required you removing the instrument cluster your self (pretty easy)

mine occasionally stick at first but not so after the cars been started

Mine is just a little slow to respond going either way. Bit of needle lag doesn't worry me too much though, it's the fact that I have to tap it first thing in the morning to make it work that's got me pissed.

I had my car defected and while waiting for a month and a half to get it cleared i couldnt drive it because i ran out of rego and of course you cant re-register the car until you have the defect off. So after that month and a half my tacho now sticks as well sometimes in the mornings but then it gets going after a while.
