You should be able to beat him in a close thing

    The VN has 125kw (standard)
    The VS has 147kw (standard)

However the torque on both cars is relatively the same, but the VS weighs more, therefore the take off in a VN will be a lot faster. The VS will prob gain on you at higher speeds though

Another thing is the gearbox - the VS has that smart computer thing which regulates the power and makes it much smoother. However the pick-up is slow. But the VN was made before the time of technology, and the shifting is hard and fast

The VN will win 0-100. VN's are 0-100 in 8.1 seconds compared to 8.4 for a VS i think? VN/VP commodores are the fastest standard V6 commodores made, including against the VZ with the alloytec 175.

depends how well the cars are running too. Im having a major power crisis at the moment where i cant even get 8.5 sec 0-100 with full CAI, extrctrs, zorst, rebiult stge2 shiftkit box, and a chip. i reckon just race him but in a sensible location out of traffic .......if you win dont let him live it down.....

the main thing is traction.... vn's are skid machines so a skilled driver should win the race....

    rwhp roughly = fwkw

so exhaust, extractors and pod to add about 13kw... sounds alright.

a vn in GOOD WORKING ORDER should beat an equally modded vs in GOOD WORKING ORDER off the line.

Eh... it's just where the post landed... have someone move it if it's upsetting you.

You'll actually find i was praising the vn though up ^^^^ faster off the line than a vs.. i was just tryin to work out why this guy eats em... by the sounds of it nothing special on his car... just lucky i guess :P

    VT ecotec = slow

there is a thread in the VN forum about a VT versus a VN. majority agrees that the VT doesnt stand a chance
