8 bolt Flywheel

hey guys,

as you may know, im doing the VN manual into the VP Calais conversion.

I've just found i need an 8 bolt flywheel, and they are hard to come by

no wreckers (in sydney) that i called had one, and i had 2 quotes for a new one - $385 to have one made, or $700 for a lightened flywheel, racing spec

what do you guys think? should i go the cheaper flywheel, the expensive flywheel, or even look elsewhere? Or hey, does someone here have one lying around, that i'd be willing to buy? I can get it ordered interstate depending on what your charging.

i had the same problem i rang all over Australia an couldn't get one so got new

Castlemaine rod shop (03) 5472 2853 will be able to help you out. I think theres are around the $300-$350 mark, i have one but i bought it a few years ago and paid $300. Finding one second hand is near impossible and Holden dont make them anymore.
