Does anybody know what a torque converter does when it is on its way out
and the appox price of replacing one. My car makes a weird noise when it is in gear but not moving. the noise goes away when its in neutral or park and is only present when it gets up to running temp and it sounds like the noise is coming from the bellhousing. it also has a small vibration when i back off after flooring it to about 60-80kph.
