Engine Light HELP!

The engine Light keeps coming on and were not sure why... it mite need an oil change but when we last drove it, it went bang LoL and stalled . . . it starts and runs ok but it's just when we drive it,any idea what it mite be?

You need to check your computer codes. there is a terminal under the kick panel in the passengers side that you need to use a paper clip to earth out do a search in the forums for computer codes and how to access them that should help you identify the problem. when you know what number the code is post it up and somebody will be able to tell you what it means.

hey just found this in another post this should help you
down by your passangers feet, just on top of the kick panel(cpu behind this) their should be a female plug, just hanging in the breeze it should look somthing like this

now that picture is if your looking at the plug. now you see holes A and B???
make sure your car is off, get a paper clip or somthing metal and bridge (short) between a and b holes. now turn your car to ignition (do not start!!!) and have a look at your engine light. now you need to count the flashes, it will give short quick flashes followed by a pause then some more short quick flashes.
yiou need to count the short quick ones,
say it flashes

(1) (3)
flash.............flash.flash.flash
that would be code 13

say it flashes

(4) (1)
Flash.flash.flash.flash..............Flash
that would be code 41, get it???


it will repeast and if you have mroe than one error code it it will do them in seqence.

your fan will come on and this is normal , dont be alarmed. when you find whats wrong, get back on here with the code

i was gonna say the same as s-pack LOL. also how is it driving after the bang and stall? as in does it rev like normal or does it struggle getting to the top

I would check your cat out might have blocked up and the bang cleared it very common as the ceramic inside crumbels and or blocks up from soot.

yeah ide say exahust problem.. thats about all it could be i recon if its gone BANG and now it dont want to rev. LEt it get hot and feel if some brutal heat is coming of the cat mostlikly... DONT TOUCH IT THOUGH unless of course you would like to melt your hand to the zorst.
