Question Electric Window drivers side prob

Window went up and down fine then slowly it would struggle now its dead, when u click the button u can hear the motor kick in to let the window down but as for going up its got nothing.
Does anyone think this could be a switch prob?

If you can hear the motor i doubt its a switch problem, check the runners and mechanism itself, mine run a little slow, but i think its the runners in mine

My right rear passenger window never worked when i got the car and it cost shitloads to fix it, but dont think it has the same prob as my drivers side. My problem is i gotta find time to check it out.. becuz the window is down and its left outside, however there is a roof over the top.. thank god because its rain'd all day

it is the switches most likley...

what happens is the switches tarnish over time causing resistance when it throws power. mine was the same went down and wouldnt go up and the motor would click i found if i reversed the polarity of the motor it would go back up.

i fixed this by pulling the switch apart

you have to pop the button part off (take care not to loose the tabs that go between the button and the contacts) and you will see the leds are soldered in and they have to come out to get to the switch apart to clean contacts

so you take the leds out comletely (not to hard if youve used a soldering iron before) then seperate the two halves of the casing...

now you will see that the dead one will be either badly tarnished or corroded

so grab a little bit of sand paper and sand the contacts so they are clean then go test the switch while its in peices so if it needs more sanding you dont have to pull it apart again.

that fixed mine and its been great since

Wouldent that just be a contact problem like...the window sometimes goes up and down, sometimes it works and dosent...

If you can hear the motor working dosent nessesarliy mean its not that, it could be working but maybe some splines init that make the window go up and down are chewed out?.

Take the door trim off, put the window down and go back up, if it struggles to go back put some force on the bottom of the wondow pushing it up and see if that works, if it does more then likly the motor in the regulator is stuffed or splines are damaged. Also make sure your window guides are clean of crud, if too much crap is in there it will make the motor work harder and eventually burn it out.

Ok, i dont have electric windows in mine so im not sure of the button set up in urs, but have you tried changing over the switches say from the passanger side and see if that works? If it does the same thing change the motor for the window and tell me how you go.
