vn wheel bearings

hi all was just told by mechanic that the hub also must be changed when doing the front wheel bearings ?? doesnt sound right as i can remember doing a set years ago and just did the bearings ...any thoughts thanks

The hub in a VN/VP are intergrated with the disc. Wheel bearing can be pressed out and replaced.
It sounds like your mechanic is giving the wrong information.
