Default Finnaly progress with my CRS setup!!

Ok today, i mean ALL OF TODAY, was used up to extend my coil pack loom and relocate it.

this involved getting some metal and bending and drilling them to make brackets for the coil pack, buying extra wire and switching my left leads to the right hand side and vice versa, i also coated some of the left over exposed wire with super bond glue

heres some pics of the various stages, hope the wires and the plastic covers dont mealt LOL..

Tommorow im going to borrow a grinder to chop up my old coil pack bracket as its in the way of the longer belt and charger, Once its cut i will chuck on the extra pulley, the belt and the charger.

Then all thats left is to find someone who will make the custom piping for the intake of the charger and the piping from the charger to the throttle body of the engine. ( im keeping the t/b in the same spot as it is instead of moving it to the intake side of the charger ).

BTW.. the brackets i made are fairly dodgey, and weak, will probably make some better ones later on in time, by later on in time i mean when ever i can be bothered

anyone have any ideas on how to mount the extra pulley properly? as when i try normally it is not aligned with the rest of the stuff and the belt? would using some washers and stuff be ok just to space it out ? i dont want it to wobble to much and wack everything out of place thats all.

looks like it is coming along very nicely, i would suggest getting some loner spark plug cables from somwhere and make it look neat, but i guess that just something to do when you get bored, lol. as for the pully braket, i would think washers would be ok, but i havent done this before, i think somewhere on here would know the answer to that,

anyways, good luck with it and keep the info coming, would like to see it when its finished, cheers, nick

closes fine, the charger actually sits a little higher then that, and the bonnet does close but is fairly tight.

im still stumped on how to do the piping from the charger to the t/b on the car, an exhaust shop wont do it i know this because all they got is a mig welder lol..

i have a spare charger with some piping and flanges to fit, only problem is that on the other charger the piping is like 2" or 2.5" as aposed to the 3" needed for the t/b on the car

hehe just finished installing the charger and stuff today, everything runs fine, Tommorow i might go to a few places to get the piping done then i will have my charger running! will be so awesome hehe.

Also in those pics, he has a few rubber hoses going into his piping from the charger to the t/b and from the airbox to the charger, what are they? i dont have any of those lol...

I will take more pics of the setup tommorow if i can find my camera, the pics i took before were with my friends camera and he took it back today

Btw, the charger is REALLY loud, i love the whine, i hope i dont loose the sound through the piping

edit : BTW..i think on his setup its the genuine CRS kit so his flanges already are all made to fit, mines gonna be a little weird imthinking of just using some 2" rubber piping into a 3" rubber pipe and then into the throttle body, will that be ok ?

edit again : what power figures should i be expecting from my setup guys ? all i have is a 2.5" lukey exhaust from cat back and a k&n pod filter.. is 120rwkw to much to expect from the stock pulley on this setup ?

You could expect 150 rwkw with the 6psi pulley and bigger injecters and tuned to suit, but not sure how much for the 3 psi with stock fuel mixtures

rubber hoses is everything that needs a little vacuum. i.e. crankcase ventilation. Keep in mind your brake booster hose will now be under boost not just vacuum.... along with everything else that plugs in after the charger.

hmm so if i do the piping and everything without the vacumm lines then what will happen ?

my brake booster lines and all the lines after the charger will explode or something, or pop off?
