    Default Bloddy Car stuffed up

    hey all im really kinda pissed off at the moment and i thort i'd come and tell ya'll y. i hadn't droven my car in a cople of days so it was parked in the back yard i moved it out and took off down the street wile i was driving i was think somthing not right the car just didn't seem to be going right anyways so i kept going took of up the main road and clunk the it felt like the transmisson went in the car wouldn't move no gears nothin and it started making this high pitch huming nosie this just happen like half and hour ago arrg so i don't know what to do im hoping its not the transmission cause thats ganna cost heaps to fix and i just don't have the money, any thorts or anyhelp would be great

    we couldn't even get it home so its parked down some side street

    tailshaft maybe? check uni versals ?

    Diff? Could have snapped an axle maybe?

    Jack the car up and put the rear on stands.. Or just turn on your car..

    Put it in drive and get someone to gently feather the accelerator.. If you see the tailshaft spinning, it's probably the diff..

    Put it in reverse and see if it spins the other way. I'm pretty sure if it doesn't it'll mean the tranny's gone..

    would that explain the load screeching sound,
    and if thats it how much would it cost to fix?

    im going to say diff... do what shounak said.. stall her up like your going to do a burnout and get someonoe to look at the tailshaft.. just dont get under car incase somomething happens and you get ran over.
