Car Nearly Didnt Start???
Had about 1/4 tank of fuel left and just filled up.When i started the car it turned but didnt start it just missed from fully turning.So i went to start again this time holding key for long time and it wasnt going to start but i gave it some throttle and it started.
ANY IDEAS ANYBODY
oh i ran a fuel cleaner on the previous tank but i run one every 3 tanks anyway, but this one was different.(this one smelt like windex-alcohol based not petrol based like the usual one i use and it is meant to last 10,000k's)
I HOPE NOTHING EXPENSIVE IS ON ITS WAY OUT
And also my exhaust sounds very poppy like the airflow has no pressure through it.

well.... if you needed to add some air into the chamber then it seems like its something to do with your throttle body, reset the idle air control valve, check the TPS refrance signal, maybe even clean your throttle body with a cleaner
could also be a that fuel cleaner has damaged your cat converter and has excess carbon buildup which restricts airflow when cold

just cleaned the TB last weekend (had to make own gasket from special gasket paper as i was told the original ones are hard to find.How do i check the IACV and TPS.Also my high flo cat is only about 1.5 monthes old.

mine does this once or twice, not very often at all. but some times it doesnt start right so i turn it over again and it just keeps turning over till i give her some gas, my tb is clean as a whisle but as i said its once in a blue moon
i think its a commo think.. my wags doess it everynow and again.. its worse when you get nothing when you turn the key.. lol

mine always does this, actually just tried to start her then and did the hole turn over thing then started making a coughing sound like it was pushing air out of the intake... gave it a bit of gas and fired straight away. does someone know wtf is wrong wiith my car cos it is starting to give me the shwits and it has me stumped on what is wrong with it.

come on people there must be someone out there that knows whats wrong with it or had the same problem cos it starting to get embarrassing whenver i start the thing.
i find that if i turn my key but dont let the starter turn enouhg, i.e i should hold the ey for longer, it will almost start then conk, then somtimes after this it wont start for about 5-10 seconds of turning the starter motor, almost like it needs to find more fuel. My advice is to hold the key down untill it's good and started, get some good quality injector cleaner or get them professionally cleaned, get some new spark plugs and make sure their gapped right, if your leads are olf et new ones.

Same thing is happening to me and it sucks.
But it wont even start when i put foot down =[
When mines warm the starter motor will just keep cranking it over untill I give it some gas. Starts first time when cold though...
