You would just spray it with plastic primer and then go at it with some Alpine White spray paint. Get it all from repco or super cheap.

But you would need to take the door moulds off the car.

How did you do yours? Just protect the rest of the side of the car with newspaper or something? Or did you use a paintbrush?

Dont use a paint brush. My dads a spray painter and he said it would be a lot easyer to take them off but you could probly do it on the car if you masked it up realy well with news paper and good quality masking tape.

Dont use duck tape. use masking tape mate. And as for the price im not too sure. i think the white might be about $10 a can. dono how many cans you will need. And dont buy enamel paint. buy acrylic paint. Just go to repco or somewhere and they will tell you which paint to buy and stuff.

i didnt take them off because i was woried the glue would peel the paint

and taking them off would bend them out of shape

$10 seems right for the can of the paint

I recently had to buy some plastic primer and alpine white spray paint for my front bumper after an incident with a guard rail. You're looking at about $14 for a can of plastic primer and $10 is about right for the alpine white paint.

And don't use duct tape...use masking tape. Duct tape could be harsh on the paint.

I have wanted to do this for a while now.
Think I might do it this weekend.
Does this paint scratch, wash or were off?

Nope. The paint you get from Repco in the spray cans is basically the same paint you have on your actual car.

yeh im with xlr8, i reckon they look better off the car. i have the double sided sort of ones on my berlina, not just the single strip its more like a panle that runs across the car, looks pretty ugly with the ss kit on.

yer i was going to/tried a bit to take them off....then realised how useful they could be seeing as i work at bilo when not stugying and they could save me a nasty incident with a stray trolley...so yer gunna leave them on...and want the chrome strip through them s well which would be impossible with them off..
