Gearbox Issue!

Hey guys and gals,
Im back talking about my gearbox. Well, some of you know about my gearbox transplant which took place around 4 months ago. I rung up a wreckers on beaudesert Rd Brisbane and bought a 2nd hand gearbox with aprox 100,000kms on the clock, the gearbox was fully tested and seals redone before sale. I purchased this gearbox and installed it myself with the help of some mates in the backyard. Everything has been going fine up untill a couple of weeks now.

Now somtimes my reverse gear will not engage, this has hapened about 5 times now all within 2 weeks time. Its really random when it hapens aswell. When i drop her into reverse she will kinda click but not fully. I give her some revs and the car feels like shes on the verse of stalling, running really ruff.

I have tryed puting her in drive and drive forward a little then puting her into reverse to try and bypass the problem but this dose not seem to work. Also tryed from neutral to reverse, park to reverse, 1st2nd3rd drive to reverse, all with no help. Once to get her to ingage i had to push her backward then she kicked in.

Okay, so if any1 has any ideas or thoughts on this matter please speak up. I do have a 6 month warrenty on the gearbox and im pretty sure im still withing that time. BTW i live 3 hours north from brissy so its not a drive down the road to the place. lol.

if you move it around in the reverse slot, like in reverse hold the shifter fuill back does it do it?? or can i engage, if it's not the linkage like mabye slightly out then the box is ****ed and you shold take a drive

Hmm, auto i take it from what you have said, i am unaware of your transplant so sorry, id be calling them and chatting, it sounds as though something inside the box has shat itself
