well, for those who remember, i have had some isues with my gearbox.
it was rebuilt at 222400 km, car has now clocked over to 230400km, and it's about to jump out at me. the gearbox hasnt even done 10000km, warranty was for 1 yr, or 20,000km, which ever came first, now the 1 yr mark has passed, 1 yr ago,
is it acceptable for a gearbox place to give a warranty for his time? it hasnt even done 10,000 bloody km's, it's quite pathetic.
do i have re-course to this matter? or do i go and buy a bloody gearbox again from a different place?
reason it's done hardly any k's is i use work cars all the time, so vn has hardly been driven in like 3 yrs
cheers

some people call auto's gearbox's so is it auto or manual.. if it is auto get a service.. might make the difference. my old man thought he was up for a $3000 auto in a crappy sonata. but it just needed a service..
I guess that the main problem you face with claiming any sort of warranty on this is that they will argue that it depends on how hard you drive it.
They'll come up with some crap about you driving it hard and killing it.
I don't think that it's acceptable, but if it's out of warranty then I don't know that you're going to have much luck with it.
Gravity is proof that nature keeps getting us down.
I hate that. With so many things ive had just after the warranty runs out it stuffs up. I recon they set it to do it haha. I would be pretty annoyed if i was you and would go ask the question.
