hi all i have a vn calais and my revs keep going up and down and if i revers or turn a corner to fast it just dies any ideas
Cheers
Have you touched anything recently...Or has it just started?
its been like this for ages i changed the two plugs on the back of the throtle body and still the same.
could it be my O2 sensor maybe
Cheers D
I've had the same thing happen in my VP Calais
It's will go up and down between 0.5rpm and 1000rpm, and will sometimes stall when im driving (well its not even a stall the engine just cuts out - even at 60km/h!!!)
this happens mainly when starting - it won't turn over - but as above it sometimes just shuts down when driving....
If your O2 sensor is stuffed, wouldn't that indicate a higher fuel usage only?
Is the throttle body clean?
Have you tried unplugging the battery, and then resetting it that way..Sometimes that can work....
Try the easy things first that won't cost you money..
hey thanks heaps for your help. Im sorry but i dont know much about cars but were is the O2 sensor and the throtle body is clean i just took it off and cleaned it
Cheers D

O2 sensor on a series one, is on the passenger side exhaust manifold...Its kinda bolted in there....
