Default Cranks 6 bolt or 8?

i was just wondering if anyone knows the story with swapin motor's over from an auto to a manual. the wreakers have told me that these is a difference of the crank and that the flywheel off a manual will not bolt up to an auto motor. any advise would be appriated. thanks

I am in the process of putting a manual ser2 vp engine into a a ser2 vp auto lpg cop car.

Its only the series 1 motors that had the different cranks. Auto and manual are both 6 bolt but the crank is physically different. Adapters are available to allow you to overcome this.

Series 2 are 8 bolt and the cranks are identical.
