    Hi guys, does anyone know where to get a good recon v6 for my series 1 Calais in Adelaide and how much including fitting please?

    cant help you with where to get one..but you can expect to pay around $500+ for a rebuilt v6 (difficult to give price as it is dependant on quality/km's done by engine) and about $500 again to get a mechanic to put it in for you.

    Mine cost me $3,000 it's fully recoed top to bottom.

    ring lonsdale auto wreckers 8381 6344 . they have a really good mechanic he can do want most mechanics can in half the time. i would really recomend them.

    you can buy a long motor (im pretty sure everything up to but not including the harmoinic ballancer and heads, then starter motor, alt. etc) from delco(?) for about 2300. the heads wouldnt cost that much to reco buy themselves, maybe 500? could be an alternative worth considering. i am.
