Hey all, was wondering....

I want to get a mate of mine to weld me up some chassis braces. I guess they wont do much good to hold regidity as they wont be engerneered (much beyond my yr12 physics) but whats the legality like?

I want to put them in several different places... ie. from pilar to pilar along back of drivers + passengers seat... is that illegal? I donno, would look sweet to have a roll cage custom made to keep asthetics!
