what's the average price of a good cond, stock, rego'd vp manual wagon? looking to buy for project :cool2:
i wouldnt pay anything over $2,500 for a mint condition wags
anyone know of any for sale in the nth qld region?
U might wana be prepared to pay a bit more for a manual. they are pretty rare. took ages to find mine. everytime i found a 5sp it either had way to many km on the clock or was just was in poor condition. but i eventually found a good one![]()
Mine was an almost mint VN 5spd manual with 250 on the clock. Took me 6 months to find it.
Stock with 15" mags and bullbar, driven by a soccer mum and interior absolutely immaculate cost me $5200. Cost the guy 1500 to roadworthy it so i reckon I got a good deal. I live in Cairns and found that commos in North Queensland are ridiculously expensive up here.
Easier to get hen's teeth than a 5spd wagon but they are well worth it. I love mine wouldn't swap it for the world.
If you are looking for a VP wagon check if it has a tacho. My mate has an auto VP (no tacho) but he got to fit a big after market one. My VN had an in-dash tacho so i just changed the dash fascia instead.
Hope your search goes well. If you are up my way look me up. Me and my mates are trying to start a 2nd gen wagon club in NQ. Might be a help for you inregards to sourcing parts and discounts at local stores.
i also have found manuals very expensive in Nth Qld, why dont you just buy an auto and convert it like i did, its easy once you know how to do it and boy does it make a big difference then an auto
