    Default fuel tanks

    can someone post a pic showing the difference between these fuel tanks please.
    or any way to tell the difference just by looking.
    8o litre and 63 litre .

    Im guessing the difference between the 63 and 80lt tanks. Since you asked this on SC aswell, like told there I would wait for foamy to post up the pics since he has one of each.

    you can kinda tell the difference, the 83 litre is bigger and hangs down more, if i didnt have a tow bar bracket goin underneath mine it would be a 20L by now, LOL. but yeh you'll find that most V6 have the 63L and most V8 have the 80-85L

    Ok people here's the pictures the old VN is sitting pretty low now that the grass has grown and the towbar stops me from getting a picture from behind but anyway, best I could do, there's not much difference between the tanks so pay attention.

    First tank is the VN V6 grandpa spec Lexcen
    Second tank is the VP V8, hoon spec Commodore (note extra dings)

    Also If you were paying attention, and no I wasn't the right hand strap is clearly different on the V8

    80 litre tank straps dont have rubber bit that wraps around the bottom to protect it ....the strap is all metal to metal bar the small pieces of tape between it and the tank.
