gearbox suggestions?

it's done 2 trips around australia towing a caravan, so i'm not suprised the gearbox needs rebuilding...

i'm no mechanic - my bro is, apparently it's something to do with hydraulic seals on the th700 box. and maybe worn clutch plates.

so i'm wondering if people have suggestions for cost effective performance improvements to the box, since it's being rebuilt anyway. i dont have to pay for labour, just parts...
