stops when driving along

having trouble with my VP it just loses power when driving along had the petrol tank and pump checked alternator and replaced the crank sensor. someone said it could be the Dwell angle. Can anyone tell me the real problem or help in some way.:b:

is this power as in electrical?..or power as in accleration?..or both?
i had a problem a while back where the whole car would die on me whenever i flicked on my high beams, just for a second then go back to normal...
ended up being my battery, so chucked a new one in and its never done it since.

Check out your leads, and coil pack.

Also, if you have an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser fitted make sure that it's behaving properly. I had something like that happen to my VN and it turned out that the immobiliser was cutting in while I was driving and taking out the left bank of the engine. It would idle on three cylinders but wouldn't move the car. All because of one dodgy connection.
