Gday lads,
This is driving me absolutely nuts. I have a VN V6 wagon, 1991 model, so i think that would make it a series 2. Its a heap of junk i bought for 1k as a daily while i finish my project..
ECU is telling me the reason its running like shit is the coolant sensor. I swear i've looked everywhere around thermostat, heads, radiator, water pump even, followed pipes and the loom, and i can't find the stupid thing! I've got the replacement here good to go...
Its ridiculous, its probably right in my face... Something so simple has become such an exercise... gah!
Any help greatly appreciated
Cheers
Bardin
umm... i can remember reading sumthing a while ago about it, i thinkit is located underneath the alternator, have a search on the forums about it, but yeh im pretty sure it is under the alternator
I ended up working it out, cheers mate, its under the alternator as you say
Annoying thing is though, that when i was trying to get access to it, i first tried removing the short length of pipe going to the water pump. When i went to put it back on, it would seem that the barb thing that bolts to the inlet manifold that the pipe attaches to has completely rusted (or it seems to be part plastic? I don't know) - but its stuffed.
So begins the interesting process of trying to explain to people what part it is that i need.....
post some pics of the pipe that ur talking about, that way it will be easier to work out what part it is
