    Default Speedo Needle Jumping

Hey all, Just wanted to see if any one has had this problem with thier VN Calais and if i could get any help.
My Speedo needle bounces back down whenever i hit 100 K/PH, however it seems to work fine at any speed below 100, i have already replaced the speedo sender unit that screws into the rear of the Transmission but have had no success, and surely it cant be in the cluster cause it wouldn't work at all. If anyone has had a similar or the same problem could you please help as this has been a problem for some time now.
    Thank you.

Could be a dodgy voltage regulator on the back of the cluster. Though I'd expect that to show up in other ways first. Does your tacho have a few problems?

yeah, similar thing used to happen in my old vn calais when i had it.
the speedo would sometimes (very rarely and completely outa the blue) just fly straight to 200k's (or was it 220 the speedo went up to....whatever it was) and stay there till the car was turned off...once you start it up again it would be normal.
i dont know what the deal was, so i cant help you with your problem, but its interesting to know that it happens to other people too.
