Smile wheels aligned, rear driveline sorted, brakes???

Got the panhard bracket straightened, wheels are now in line!! great stuff, looks good, reinforced sweet ways.

bought a calais, all complete, got the rear driveline off of that and onto mine in 6hrs. all by myself with a great deal of swearing.

brakes were absolutely flogged because of the bent axle, so drove and hour with no rear brakes, so i've got new pads, now the trial to put the pads in will begin, then my car will be perfect again.

then the projects will start, calais interior, simple enough, calais dash, electric windows (possibly)!!

Mate, well done on doing the swap on your own. That sounds like a bitch of a job.

Pads are a piece of cake compared to swapping a full rear drive-line. Only a one beer job.

yeah cheers, it was, many hours went into it, did it straight too, no breaks for drinks, put the brakes on yesterday, pads went in pretty easy, hardest bit was probably putting the park brake cable on. i had to swap the left caliper over due to the piston copping a flogging from the bent axle, now i just have to bleed them and it'll be working sweet as. i'll be stoked to have it back to normal

i put the rear calais seats in already. gotta love the light/dark grey combination, comfy as too!! bonus

Told you the brakes weren't a hard job. It's a damn good feeling when everything just works like that isn't it? Gotta love VN's, they go hard, but they are so easy to work on.
