Default Car audio dash wire help

    hey everyone
this is alittle urgent as i'm going to be installing my new speakers in my VN 2morrow (font and back speakers) and i was just wondering who knows how to get the existing wires in dash out (coz they're around 10years old and dodgy) and put the new ones in?

I honestly dont know how to take the dash apart (if thats wat u need to do) and i would very much appreciate anyones help in figuring this out

    Thanks in advance
    Cheers

i would just leave the original wires in there. they are probably taped into the loom. just run your new ones and join in at the h/u

yea but the thing is the ones that go to my front speakers are old then (i dunno how to explain this but) the speaker wires for the rear speakers are attached to where the front wires and fron speakers conect if that makes sense.... the wires for the rear speakers that attach the the h/u have nothing attached the them.... my rear speakers are running off my front speakers (i dunno how the guy did this) but i want my back speakers running off my headunit not my front speakers

I probably repeated my self alot and i hope it made sense

thanks for the quick reply magi

ok if the old owner had a head unit in there apart from stock they have cut corners, just run new wire, as maginoodle said just leave it or you can trace it and rip it out your choice, but deffenantly have seperate wire for each speaker, just run it along the sides. hope that helps your situation

Get your nearest autobarn to install it. Not too exxy but they give a lifetime installation warranty. They also take out the old wires and do it all schmicko.

I buggered around 4 times putting different ice in and my next stezz ( a big one) i am getting them to put it in. Costs nearly half as much as the gear but I get piece of mind. Don't get the satisfaction of putting it in myself though.

Dunno if that helps but thats the way with less stress.
