Default Tail shaft hitting chassis- WTF??

A while after i got my 91 VP i noticed that when i accelerated really hard i could here a rubbing noise under the rear end of the car. I recently replaced the gearbox and when i removed the tail shaft i saw that there was a nice hole appearing in the chassis from where the tail shaft is rubbing against it. I've since come to the conclusion that something under there needs to be replaced, like bushes or something. I just got new springs put in by a suspension place and i decided that im gonna put the new shocks in that i bought on the weekend. Hopefully when i get under there and have a proper look i can find out what needs replacing to keep my tail shaft where its meant to be. LOL. I'll let ya's know how i go anyway just incase someone else has the same probem.

because holdens have the 2 piece tailshaft what happens if people work on them and dont do it properly, they put the tailshaft out of allignment, as in near the diff it has to be centre popped to put it back in the same (original) position (hope that makes sense LOL) mine was out a little and was hitting on my muffler.
THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT

i can tell you right now that its your control arm bushes you can either get replacement arms and do it yourself or get a suspension shop to do it

i done mine last weekend with both the upper and lower arms costing a total of $140 after getting my deposit on my old ones back was really easy to do just took a little time but you have to torque up the bolts with full load on the diff ie. wheels on the ground with no chassis support i found it easiest to support the diff with axle stands and then lift the body as required to get the arms in and out and tightening the bolts up with all the wieght back on the diff

if you dont torque them up under load they will hold the diff at an angle and could make the issue worse
im not admiring your car im looking in disgust
