Hey d00ders..
I have finally got up the courage to paint my car... MYSELF!!
Now when i drop the Group A Kit on.. because its going to be gel-coated plastic, is there any difference from painting metal and plastic? of course i will be hitting it with a white primer, Will the colour change between plastic and metal parts? should they be sprayed differently.. or just make sure its an even coat across everything?
BTW: This is a bare shell & Bare metal respray, im going to be stripping every removable exterior part
Cheers
Mike.

I'm not sure on your questions but a little bit of advice when it comes to the group a body kit watch out that you don't get dry spots in all the holes and stuff.
I don't see why a different "technique" should be used to spray the kit from the rest of the car. As long as you've used the same high quality primer on both parts and preperation method, the paint should be an exact match.
Just make sure that the surface has been prepared properly. The preperation of the surface is just as important as the paint job itself.
Remember....Prepsol is your friend!!![]()
(good luck with the respray, shows us the finished product won't you!!)

Tomorrow doesn't look good either.
God must love stupid people, He made so many.
Rub the gelcoat bars/skirts down with some grey scotchie(scotchbrite) It'll texture it enough without the need of sanding it, but makesure you do a good job, an once you prime it sand again then start with your painting, NEVER prepsol plastic, once it's primed an sanded you can prepsol it to clean it up.
