Ok, you like making things hard for yourself dont you?

Wiring can be adapted. USE METAL, not too much bog and no glass. Metal expands, bog and glass do not. Snap, crackle, pop.

Yes it will be hard but anything can be done if you put your mind to it.

Good luck with it, I would love to see the results if you do do it.

Hope I could be of assistance.

    Steve.

i have seen people cut the rear out of a doner car and weld it into the new one. if the side profiles are nearly the same it should be a straitforward job

d/w geta sarcasm is easily lost on here. What type of garnish are you going to have with the vr/s lights?

He wants a VR rear, fine... a lot of mucking about.. welding etc to do it.. why not just get a VR and put a VN front end on... at least then its more of a bolt-up job and you get teh same results

Interesting choice. I personally prefer a tinted VP Calais rear-end to the VN or VR. But the VR lights on a VN shaped boot... that would be... abstract. Good luck with it ^^ I love your spirit.

    Cheers

Cheers for all the replies..has made my decision easier...im gonna go for it

To all the guys talking about conversions...bear in mind..im only swapping lights...not the whole back end ... in regards to the garnish....ill smooth it out and colour match it at a later date when cars is re-painted ..

this is a custom job...and its gonna suck ass...make me scream and kick the shit out of anyone near by..but at the end of the day...my VN will be a one of a kind...maybe lol so keep everything crossed for me lol

'this is gonna suck mega ass crax :b:

i would probably cut a VR/VS tail light section from a donar and weld it in, shouldnt be too hard, yeah it would be a very unique VN, thought about doing it a while back, got a job and forgot all about it, but yeah if you can show us some progress pics, i think it would look awesome,

    have fun with it

The best way would be to buy a VR rear end with a boot & cut in the tail light mouldings.

umm if i think what your thinking off then thats not such a good idea, i dont know if you've noticed but the rear end is a part of the chassis, the boot lid would work altho being slightly diffrent (bigger or smaller i cant remembeR)

and im tirered as hell so im probbly rambling on garbage that no one will understnad
