Put new bootlid on, now interior light wont go off

Put new bootlid on, now interior light wont go off. This is too weird, the boot lid is fitted alright, what could it be thats wrong? I'm assuming that the boot light switch isnt going off, but why? Anyone else have this problem when fitting a new lid?

Hop in the boot with a torch, pull the lid down and see why the switch isn't doing it's job.

What he said, BUt the switch is on the passenger side behind where the boot arm closes, It should touch that to turn off the light.

yeh excatly what the otheres said, what has prob happened is that the switch has moved and doesnt come in contact with the boot arm
