check your battery terminals, if dirty they can play up. also if it seems alright once it is warmer the battery probably needs replacing. it also could be the regulater in the altenater, they can cause the battery to drain and it may not make the light come on, try taking a terminal off the battery and let it sit overnite, if it starts next morning it will be a dud regulater

the exact things happen to mine... go to start and makes ticking noise, the cd player sounds like it is trying to reject a cd... go to jump it and starts first go... try start it an hour later and will do the same thing, ticking noise, cd player etc. i took it to an auto electrician a while ago before this starting happening and they said that the alternator is fine... load of bs. looks like its time for a new alternator and starter motor...

check your alt with a multimeter, first check how many volts in battery then start it and re-check volts. the reading should be higher. it should be about 14 volts while running. if the volts flicker up and down the regulater is stuffed.

    Default Boot light

When i got my car at first it would always run out of battery,
found out that it was my bootlight not going off, the lid simply failed to toggle the switch, had me stumped for a while.

ok, check you dont have a short, this can be done simply with a test light by disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery (ground) and connecting the test light in between the negative cable and the battery earth -. If the test light lights up (even very faintly), than there is a drain, and could even be a short, if not, than its just most probably your alternator not charging properly, and this can easily be checked at a PROPER auto electrician using a alternator tester that puts a load and checks the amp and volts simultaniously. (dont try with a multimeter, it wont be accurate enough)

Thats all i could think of
    See how you go!!

PS: And some new battery's have no water in the cells at all, they are dry calcium battery's and don't ever require topping up, so make sure (if it has twist caps, than it takes water, if not, than maybe not)
