Default changing gears in an auto

hey guys dont laught at me lol, but ive never had anyone show me how to run through the gears in my auto, and i like to know how, cause auto can get a bit boring sometimes, thought running through the gears would make it a bit more interesting without spending big bucks..thx guys lol

Learn yourself, Judge the revs, Don't try anything stupid, Start off slow shifting between low rev's, If you want to overtake an your between 60-100km/s put her down into second an let the revs fly upto 4000-5000 for the torque an gun it if need be.

Always if your doing 80km/h or under run the car in 3rd only use 4th if your over 80km/h. Helps keep a little torque.

Just learn yourself mate, Slowly an nothing stupid.

probably a good way to get a feel for the revs is find an empty back road. Pull over on the side and wait til its clear.. drop it back into 1st and run up through the gears. You'll soon find the revlimiter, and you'll get an ear for when you need to change.

As Hozy said, 2nd gear is a fabulous thing if you need some grunt and are going less than 80, it will be your new best friend! Just don't leave it in all the time since it'll chew alot more gas than 3rd.

It would depend on what speed your doing, Rarely it throws itself down into the gear you want. An it'll shift back up too early, The perfect way is to do it yourself.

And for all the haters that will post up complaining, If you want to do it all the time, Get a stage 2 shift kit an A corvette piston setup in your gearbox.

Corvette pistons give more band contact at the 1-2 shift, basically a stronger shift.

Shift kits effectively let you manual shift... and not like you do now. ATM my car i can throw it from 2-3 but if i'm at WOT it'll take a bit to change still, basically till i hit the rev limiter or back off. With a shift kit it'll go to 3rd when i tell it too. Plus again it strengthens up the shifts a bit, and comes with all the little bits to make the trans not complain.

Mix a Corvette piston setup an a Stage 2 shift kit or a Stage 3 complete manual shift kit together, An you'll be chirping gears an an auto...... Atleast then you can say you have part Corvette in your car.......... It'll be a complete corvetter gearbox then.

Trust me you will never look back......

First time you get in, drive it in Drive like a normal auto, an hammer it, you'll say HOLY SHIT!

Next time you get in, Manual shift it, an then go change your underwear.....

I guess, I can say it's worthy of ripping off all badges an putting a chev badge on... Sometimes i wish i was in america......... hahaha

You got a laggy 3rd - 2nd change??? You got a VS... That's your computer doing that mate...... Not your gearbox. Go jump in a VN-VR an throw her down.... She'll go down like a $2 hooker....
