    Default vq stato

2morrow im heading off to look at a vq stato, series2.

    got a few questions
    1. the 5tlr motor, anything in particular i should be looking at there
    2. will a vnv6 s2 auto fit behind a vq stato (reason is my gearbox in the vn was rebuilt no more than 3 months ago, so when i get rid of my vn i dont wanna loose out with gearbox replacement
    3. any other little body issues i should be looking at?

    cheers

The gearbox should bolt up with an adaptor from what i know..... There the same gearbox....

Just look at it the same wat you would look at a normal vn-vp.

Rust top of back window, Listen for a miss at idle, Take a look underneath for any oil leaks.

One thing i do when i go, I take a rag, an I check all fluids on the cars..

I see if theres black oil... (needs oil change)
    How the PS fluid is.
    How the transmission fluid is.

I check them just to see if it's been looked after atleast.

Makesure climate control works. And take her for a drive, listen for any knocking noises or anything mate.

    Cheers
    MaT

    P.S- Goodluck!

I think you will find that the auto will be different they are weaker as they are for a v6 , converter will be different too bellhousing bolt holes will not be the same as well put a 5 or 6 speed in her for some fun if the auto is up the creek
