Not a lot of difference really. For spark plugs, a lot of people reccomend that you run plugs that are one heat range colder than standard. I did it on my old bbq juice fired falcon and it made bugger all difference as far as I could tell. No harm in trying it though. For leads, just go for a good brand and you'll be right, maybe a little bit thicker than standard. Once again, tried it on the XE and the only difference was that the topgun leads lasted about three times as far as the crappy el-cheapo's i was using.Originally Posted by kasey375

Hmm i just got the new Bosch plugs an 9mm leads.... Not colder, but more punchy off the line.
I get 450-600km from a 60ltr tank of gas.

yeah i think a decent thickness plug leads is good for gas, i am runn 10mm top gun leads, and i also running colder plugs.
also i change my plugs every 10,000-20,000kms and also check my leads resistance the same time, i think to run gas economically everything needs to be pretty spot on, i got a VN V6, and i got a 80L tank and i get about 500-550kms around town and about 700-750km open road
cheers, nick
