VN Group A side skirts
VT Conversion Side skirts
Other skirts
hey guys, times come where ive got the money to get the next part of my bodykit (side skirts)
so far i have a group A rear bumper and a senator grille,
im eventually going to get hte Group A front bumper but i cant afford it yet and when i paint the black strip on the bottom of my bumper it will be low enough not to look weird,
ok so ive been debating what skirts should i get, its a hard choice, ( i shoulda picked up those gorup A ones from the wreckers and repaired them =( ) oh well
Group A or VT Club sport ones or Other type, im looking for your suggestions and opionions here so suggest some others out there, i like those ones ive seen on VS ones, the real chunky ones... anyway

Definitely VN Group A....VT Clubby ones wont suit the rest of the Group A kit at all.
And does that $380 include the door peices?
Weld up the rear door, turn it into a coupe, and I can't see any reason why you can't run the exhausts out the side.Originally Posted by flyen_vn
It would be a LOT of work, but I can't say that I've ever seen a VN coupe around.
Gravity is proof that nature keeps getting us down.
flyen vn, do all kits come with that hole for the exhust???
its $380 for just the skirt,
http://www.spoilerfactory.com.au/vn-...-body-kit.html
so $420 for the complete skirts
i have $50 so far
$150 next payday
speaking of crazy exhusts, i saw a VZ calais with dual cat/exhusts today was nutz
Not all Group A skirts come with the hole for the exhaust...
Send an email to Spoiler Factory about it and see if theirs does.
They're very helpful there.
the spoiler factory make thier own, not buy it in so i assume they could do it without the hole
i've never see them made with out the hole
and i just noticed mine look different to the real ones
the real ones have a slit in-between the doors
aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh i want a group A kit
If you chopped abit of the length out of it, you could have yourself a VN Monaro.... Coooooool! :POriginally Posted by mouce
Ah, nothing like a Datsun 120 WHY!
DEFINATELY...................GROUP A![]()
lol, yeah considering im buying it where its actually made, i tell them a week before they make it, i can probbly get em to cover it over, or if worst comes to worst bog it up my self before spraying... tax return = group a kit + paint
got the spraying gear organised, just gotta wait![]()

hey guys,
its $400 to get the skirts shipped here, got about %75 of the money, should have them in about 2 weeks (incl shipping)
anyone know much about paint mixing???
my mates dad has good spray gear that hes letting me use
i have had a fair bit of spraying practice but no real mixing paint practice,
how many litres of thinner to i need? i know ill need this
Pain - 2L $80
Thinners - 2L?? i guess $$?
Clear Coat - 2L $40
Plastic Primer - not much - $15 ish(only need to prime up the front bumper plastic as the skirts come primed and the rear bumper already has smooth paint on it (white , so ill just take 1-2 layers off it and spray over it)
does anyone think thats too much paint
i have to paint the rear bumper, side skirts, some body trim and the back strip on the front bumper??
just after suggestions here cheers
I thought you could buy the paint from Holden Dealerships for a pretty good price?
Perhaps worth giving Holden a ring about paint... Because when my ex-gf's brother worked at Steinberner Holden for a little while he told me how much it was and i was very suprised, it was a ridiculous amount of paint for like $120, so 2L should not be that much I THINK...Just in case man![]()
kk cheers man, im going to order the skirts on wedensday!!!!!!!!
cant afford paint for about a month tho, so ill probbly mount em up and leave it unsprayed untill i can get the paint!!
ill post pictures once its on the car
hahahagood news, just called them up, $350 including shipping to my door
$260 skirts
$40 wheel arch flares
$50 shipping
nice blokes to deal with, ill let you know how it goes
Thats a pretty good deal man...look forward to seein em on ya car
when i get the skirts i wont beable to afford paint initially, (have to wait 1-2 weeks)
however i need to bog the rear bumper up and bog and the skirts,
i talked to the dude on the phone and he said dont bog it off the car because when they got on they flex a bit and this can cause it to crack, like what happened to my rear bumper, so ill have to spray them on the car which means mounting them up well before spraying
i should recieve the skirts within 5 days of them being shipped soo, in 2 weeks ill have the skirts ill start a new thread but cheers for your help
looks like we will have another GROUP A mullet on here
mullet vn = GROUP A r/bar + side skirts and no front bar
they look alright though...lol![]()
lol sounds good, flyen_vn your pictures inspired me to leave the front bar out for now... cant notice the diffrence much
oh well broke up with my girlfriend today.. 10 months to the day.... i geuss that means ill have money and more time to spend on my car... still i miss her![]()
yeh i'm amazed when people say they didnt realise that i did'nt have a f/bar
want to get it done, but i got bigger plans... 5L mmm
lol, 5L, +30kw + 250kg
probbly get more gains from a blower to be honost, a hell of a lot cheaper and less work
i've got a wile to decide what to do
