    Default which skirts??

hey guys, times come where ive got the money to get the next part of my bodykit (side skirts)

so far i have a group A rear bumper and a senator grille,

im eventually going to get hte Group A front bumper but i cant afford it yet and when i paint the black strip on the bottom of my bumper it will be low enough not to look weird,

ok so ive been debating what skirts should i get, its a hard choice, ( i shoulda picked up those gorup A ones from the wreckers and repaired them =( ) oh well

Group A or VT Club sport ones or Other type, im looking for your suggestions and opionions here so suggest some others out there, i like those ones ive seen on VS ones, the real chunky ones... anyway

VT side skirts = $320 shipped to my door

VN Group A = $380 shipped to my door

Definitely VN Group A....VT Clubby ones wont suit the rest of the Group A kit at all.

And does that $380 include the door peices?

Weld up the rear door, turn it into a coupe, and I can't see any reason why you can't run the exhausts out the side. It would be a LOT of work, but I can't say that I've ever seen a VN coupe around.

Not all Group A skirts come with the hole for the exhaust...
Send an email to Spoiler Factory about it and see if theirs does.

    They're very helpful there.

    hey guys,

its $400 to get the skirts shipped here, got about %75 of the money, should have them in about 2 weeks (incl shipping)

anyone know much about paint mixing???

my mates dad has good spray gear that hes letting me use
i have had a fair bit of spraying practice but no real mixing paint practice,
how many litres of thinner to i need? i know ill need this

    Pain - 2L $80
    Thinners - 2L?? i guess $$?
    Clear Coat - 2L $40
Plastic Primer - not much - $15 ish(only need to prime up the front bumper plastic as the skirts come primed and the rear bumper already has smooth paint on it (white , so ill just take 1-2 layers off it and spray over it)

does anyone think thats too much paint
i have to paint the rear bumper, side skirts, some body trim and the back strip on the front bumper??

    just after suggestions here cheers

I thought you could buy the paint from Holden Dealerships for a pretty good price?
Perhaps worth giving Holden a ring about paint... Because when my ex-gf's brother worked at Steinberner Holden for a little while he told me how much it was and i was very suprised, it was a ridiculous amount of paint for like $120, so 2L should not be that much I THINK...Just in case man

when i get the skirts i wont beable to afford paint initially, (have to wait 1-2 weeks)

however i need to bog the rear bumper up and bog and the skirts,

i talked to the dude on the phone and he said dont bog it off the car because when they got on they flex a bit and this can cause it to crack, like what happened to my rear bumper, so ill have to spray them on the car which means mounting them up well before spraying

i should recieve the skirts within 5 days of them being shipped soo, in 2 weeks ill have the skirts ill start a new thread but cheers for your help
